lyrics
Oh when the credits roll and the stories told
When you reached Carolina, did they hold your hands? Feel your skin, feel like butter?
You know they make a pill so you can maintain but don’t hold your breath cause it’d only take a heart attack to stall ya, and the doctor, heard you callin
Through your watermelon vodka
Lookin coool
With your cast on
Won’t it fooool
your jealous love?
Took a peak at your cellphone,
Very jealous love,
Will ever go away!
Yeah baby bleeds on barnacles
She’s,
hanging on the Avenue flashin tan lines
Ooooh so fine
Keep your cool
Amidst this storm of hardons
Stuck in a feedback loop of
Stare at you,
Scared of you,
Patriarchal attitudes
Any minute now
And it’ll all be gone
This burnt out prison yard
Broke down world of shut down love
Stars are fallin behind you
Stick to skin like tattoos
As some poor thing melts in your
Arms
Eyes water in the marigold. Just waiting for a miracle to slide in, in cowboy boots
Say something smart, spin something cute
Oh dang,
drag me through the catacombs
As I fill my head with chemicals
Asleep with my foot in a trap
Just dreamin of your hallelujah ass
Ah baby let your hair down
Be my careless love
Don’t make me wait until they tear it down
Oh my little dove
Ah baby baby let’s lay it down
Cause I can’t bare it love
Time slips awaaaaaayyyy!!!
Father John Misty is so good to listen to when I want to relax. My cat used to seem to like the music too, and we would both chill and listen to the FJM vinyls I own. This album on bandcamp was a nice FJM treat. Michelle May
The UK upstarts' debut veers from sunny, psychedelic folk to bristling post-punk with reckless abandon without ever missing a beat. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 18, 2024
Me and my friend used to go on drives all the time, and a lot of the time i asked what he was playing, and a majority of the songs were from Yo La Tengo. And since i went and listened to And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out i was fan. Never thought i’d buy one of their records for myself. violetstain
